Matt Richards MBE is a British double Olympic champion swimmer and the founder and CEO of Sponza, the athlete sponsorship marketplace. Born in Droitwich in 2002, he swam the third leg as Great Britain won the men's 4×200m freestyle relay in Tokyo - the country's first Olympic title in the event since 1908 - and repeated the feat in Paris 2024, where the same quartet became the first in history to defend an Olympic swimming relay title. In Paris he also took Olympic silver in the 200m freestyle by two hundredths of a second. He is a multiple world champion and was appointed MBE in 2022 for services to swimming.
